Amy Rooney sits on the board of The Hope Chest in LaGrange, Illinois.
The Hope Chest is an upscale resale shop specializing in quality women’s and children’s clothing.
Founded in 1994, The Hope Chest is a not-for-profit organization whose sole beneficiary is Pillars’ Constance Morris House (CMH). The Constance Morris House is a shelter for abused women and their children. The CMH provides physical and psychological safety to women and children who are fleeing abusive relationships.
The Hope Chest greatly appreciates donations of gently used women’s clothing, shoes, outerwear and accessories, including purses, scarves and jewelry. You can bring your donations to the store during our normal business hours. By selling these items in our store we are able to donate funds to the CMH and make possible some of the many benefits provided for the residents of the shelter, such as free living quarters, meals, counseling, therapy, health care and advocacy. In addition, The Hope Chest provides clean, comfortable clothing at no cost to the shelter residents.
