Before the pink holiday decorations come down we are taking a minute to look back. We are extremely thankful for everything 2025 brought our way. The summer is flying by and we typically don’t have a lot of extra time to stop and catch our breath but today we started talking about this kitchen and how it basically reminds you to stop, enjoy a bite, maybe a glass of wine and a little company too. It’s lovely, full of personal treasures with stories to tell along with a custom designed hood and some gorgeous flyover cabinetry. The butler’s pantry and walk-in pantry with a coffee station aren’t too shabby either.

This intimate dining room sits right in the middle of this classic home. We will never know if it was strategically planned this way during its original building process but it lends itself to a perfect flow for entertaining. If you walk out one set of french doors you are in the kitchen space and if you exit another set of french doors you’ll find yourself in the formal living room. With some families choosing to move away from open floor plans it’s a great example of a semi-closed floor plan. The glass french doors not only allow you to see what’s inside, they also function by pulling natural light from the spaces around it. Something you don’t see everyday🥰

Did the short week feel exceptionally long to anyone else? This piano room feels like the perfect spot for a cold Friday night. We also get a kick out of showing rooms how they are actually lived in. When we began the sourcing process for this room we knew the coffee table specs needed to accommodate a Scrabble board and we loved everything about that. Scrabble, a drink and a fire in the fireplace for the win.
Over the last month we’ve been seeing a lot of posts about the trends of 2025……interior trends, fashion trends, color trends, stone trends, tile trends and more. We’ve read about how stripes are in but have they ever been out? We’ve read about how Aggressive Maximalism is in then we were told Earthy Minimalism is the way to go. Color drenching, pattern drenching and stripe drenching are just a few of the ways we should be drenching our spaces. There are so many more but the bottom line is the pendulum seems to be swinging faster than ever these days. We know it’s to keep us buying all the things but maybe it also means if there is something you love that isn’t necessarily on trend just go for it because it will likely be back in style before you know it. Just like the skinny jeans we were supposed to throw out that might already be making a comeback. It can all seem overwhelming but at the end of the day we know it’s the year of the snake, we know Dry January is over and we know how much we enjoy helping our clients create homes that reflect who they are and are filled with the things they love.
Listening to the news in the background this morning and heard over 16,000 homes have been affected by the fires in LA. Since we are in the business of homes we’ve struggled to post knowing how many are displaced from their homes. Where you live, your home and community are the backdrop to your everyday life. Couldn’t imagine seeing any of our neighborhoods around here destroyed. Our hearts go out to our family, friends and trade partners who are living through this.❤️
Looking back at 2024 and feeling excited about new projects in 2025. Year after year we are grateful to do what we love while getting to know so many great people along the way. This year was no exception and we honestly can’t believe how fast it went. Enjoying a slow day today and wishing everyone a very Happy New Year! 🥂

Today we are sharing a look up at this traditional Tudor’s grand staircase along with a glimpse of this gorgeous dark mahogany filled foyer. The hint of a classic (always in style) marble black and white checkered floor sets the tone for the entry to this home. Warm tones are in and the primary suite at our #ari_ohmystars project feels warm and inviting the second you walk in the room. This suite is also complete with a home office right off of the bedroom with its own outdoor space.
Fun fact: We collaborated with @creberconstruction on this whole home renovation. Coincidentally they also worked on the home with its previous owners. The majority of the bathrooms were gutted but the primary bath was so beautiful that we decided to make a few minor changes but leave the overall design in tact. We were thrilled when a few members of the family who used to live here showed up to tour the home during the @westernspringshistory_wshs house walk. They were happy to see everything that is new but were also especially pleased to see all of the home’s character that had been preserved.

Art is subjective and it means very different things to everyone. When we came in to do some updates for our #ari_ohmystars client’s home to be showcased on a house walk we knew we wanted to commission some original artwork for their home. The most important part about sourcing art for clients is getting to know them, making sure the art selections reflect who they are and if we are lucky, we even like to get them involved in the process.

This room was dubbed the Flex Room on the architectural drawings so naturally that is what we called it. Once it started to take shape our client began to call it her Parlor and we instantly agreed it was a much better name for this space. It’s a perfect spot for visiting with friends, reading a book or catching up on work. We even confirmed this because we were lucky enough to spend a little time working in here too.

Today is move in day for this family! We are thrilled for them and excited to share more photos of their new home. Our client had the vision for this fireplace before building even began. After going from stone to plaster, talking through the actual difference between fluted and reeded and fixating on several styrofoam samples, we loved watching it take shape as the focal point of the foyer and family room. A successful collaboration between the client, builder and designer that we truly enjoyed being a part of.

Today we are really loving the warm tones in this kitchen. It feels like a kitchen that is ready for the upcoming season. The herringbone tile inlay within the hardwood floors, the leather wrapped light fixtures along with the textured ceiling details make it just as noticeable as the pool.
